Freedom Session Application

Freedom Session is a 21-week healing-discipleship journey for everyone. Whether you are new to Christ or have grown up in the church, it will take you from broken, reactive living into great freedom and hope. Our Winter course runs Thursdays, January 18 - June 20, 2024. The cost is $75 for registration and $50 for workbooks (2 x $25). If you are offered a spot, you will be required to make a minimum payment to secure your spot and will receive this communication via email. Please note this form cannot be saved and retrieved at a later time. We recommend setting aside 15-20 minutes of time to fill this out.

PERSONAL QUESTIONS

Because of the demand for spots at Freedom Session please answer the following questions with honesty. This will help us to know how much a priority Freedom Session is to you and help us place you in the Freedom Session Small Group we feel will be the most helpful to you. Note: while we do our best to accommodate all who apply, we reserve the right to accept or deny registrations based on space, leadership ratios or suitability (in our opinion) that Freedom Session will be helpful for you.

Do you feel like you are different from "normal"?

Have you been told that your expectations are unrealistic?

Do you have a strong need for control in your life?

Do you find yourself believing you are unworthy?

Are you a "People-Pleaser"?

Does the fear of failure paralyze you into doing nothing?

Do you lie to cover up for someone else's mistake or drug/alcohol use?

Do you protect others from the natural consequences of their behaviours and/or actions?

Have you had an abortion?

Have you pressured a spouse/partner, family member or friend to have an abortion?

Is there an event in your life for which you feel intense guilt/shame that you cannot seem to shake and believe you could never be forgiven for?

Are you afraid to upset other people for fear they will somehow hurt, reject or maybe leave/abandon you?

Do you believe you are personally responsible for other people's lives, decisions, or drug/alcohol use?

Do you make threats or promises that you don't carry out? (I.E: if you ever do that again, I'm leaving)

Do you / have you experienced feelings of fear / hatred towards the opposite sex?

Do you have trouble believing / receiving God as a loving Father?

Have you ever been physically abused?

Have you ever been sexually abused?

Do you have gaps in memories from your childhood?

Do you find yourself avoiding relationships or struggling with intimacy?

Do you drink (socially or other)?

Do you or have you ever struggled with chemical dependency?

Do you find yourself using drugs (prescription and / or illegal), alcohol, or food in secret?

Have you lied to others or made excuses for yourself about your sexual conduct?

Has anyone ever expressed concern about your sexual behaviour?

Do you regularly purchase or view sexually explicit materials? (I.E. magazines, videos, or internet)

Do you find yourself regularly watching soap operas, or reading romance / fantasy novels?

Have you made efforts to quit engaging in any type of sexual behaviour and failed?

Does your weight cause you or others to be concerned about your health?

Do you comfort yourself with food when feeling hurt, angry, depressed, lonely, or bored?

Are you significantly over or under weight according to others?

Have you ever had thoughts of suicide?

Have you had thoughts of suicide within the last 12 months?

Do you feel alone in your problems?

Do you find yourself trying to change, control, and/or regulate others instead of yourself?

Do you have difficulties trusting others, especially those in authority?

Do you avoid any of the following types of intimacy?

Even if you trust and feel close with a friend or family member, we do our best to place you separately for your own success as well as for the wellbeing of your small group. This refers to same-gender only. Men and women are placed in gender specific small groups to protect the privacy and safety of our participants.
